The 12th Australian National Gathering and AGM was held at Maroochydore, on the Queensland Sunshine Coast from 12th to 15th May 2011.
Over 250 A'vans arrived at Maroochydore this year for this major annual event of the club. The members had a wonderful time meeting and greeting old friends and making many new friends as well. The Committee - ably assisted by the local Queensland group of A'vanners - ran a very interesting gathering which included many differnet activites and games, plus lectures on many matters including first-aid. A time was given to seeing the modifications which many members had made to their van; and to take part in the A'van markets which is a regular event at these National gatherings. The AGM was very well attended as was the highlight dinner on Saturday evening.
Reports indicate that this was a very successful meeting and members were very pleased to have attended the gathering. Thanks to all who assisted the Committee in making this a very successful meeting.
